ROSE RADIOLOGY – EAST PASCO RECEIVES ACR ACCREDITATION

ZEPHYRHILLS, FLORIDA, October 17, 2002 – Rose Radiology Centers, Inc. announced that its East Pasco OPEN MRI facility has received accreditation in Mammography and MRI services by the American College of Radiology (ACR).

Dr. Manuel S. Rose, M.D., owner and manager of Rose Radiology Centers, Inc., said “As a member of the ACR and a radiologist, it is very important to me that my centers complete and pass accrediting from the ACR. ACR Accreditation reflects my personal commitment to quality which is why we are taking the time to get all of our centers accredited.”

The ACR, headquartered in Reston, VA., awards accreditation to facilities for the achievement of high practice standards after a peer-review evaluation of its practice. Evaluations are conducted by board-certified physicians and medical physicists who are experts in the field. They assess the qualifications of the personnel, adequacy of facility equipment, as well as quality assessment and improvement activities, including peer-review. The surveyors report their findings to the ACR’s Committee on Accreditation, which subsequently provides the practice with a comprehensive report.
