ROSE RADIOLOGY WELCOMES BACK DR. CHINTAN DESAI

Palm Harbor, Florida – November 1, 2008: Rose Radiology is happy to announce that Chintan Desai, M.D. will be rejoining the staff at Rose Radiology as Chief Medical Officer and Staff Radiologist. Dr. Desai is Board Certified by the American Board of Radiology and is fellowship trained in Musculoskeletal and Body Imaging. Dr. Desai is skilled in all aspects of Diagnostic Imaging including MR, CT, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, Mammography and Interventional Radiology. 

Dr. Desai completed his undergraduate training at the University of South Florida where he achieved President’s Honor Roll and was on the National Dean’s List. He also received Superior Academic Achievement of the year along with many other honors and awards. He then completed his medical school training at the University of Miami School of Medicine. During his medical school training he received various awards including the Family Medicine Student Assistantship Award. He also received an Honorable Mention award at the Eastern Student Research Forum.

After the completion of medical school, Dr. Desai completed his internship in Internal Medicine at the University of Tennessee/Methodist Healthcare. He then completed his residency training in Radiology at the University of Tennessee/Methodist Healthcare. Following his residency training he completed his Fellowship in Musculoskeletal MRI at Duke University.

Dr. Desai is a member of many professional organizations, including the American College of Radiology, Radiological Society of North America, American College of Physicians, American Medical Association, Hillsborough and Pinellas County Medical Associations, and the Florida Medical Association.

Dr. Desai is excited to be a part of Rose Radiology again. His goal is to provide accurate and complete professional radiology services to include special procedures in the outpatient setting. He strives for outstanding, cost-efficient, timely and personalized service and encourages communication with referring physicians.
