R. Marvin Freedy, M.D.

Dr. Freedy is a Medical Director and Staff Radiologist with Rose Radiology Centers, Inc. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Radiology, skilled in all aspects of Diagnostic Imaging including CT, mammography, ultrasound, MRI and is C.A.Q. certified in Neuroradiology.

Dr. Freedy is originally from Columbus, Ohio. He attended the University of North Carolina where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry in 1982. Following college, he went on to receive his Medical Degree from the Ohio State University College of Medicine in 1987. He completed his internship and residency at Alton Ochsner Medical Foundation in New Orleans, Louisiana. Dr. Freedy went on to complete a two-year fellowship in Neuroradiology at the University of Alabama-Birmingham.

Dr. Freedy worked for 14 years in the same private outpatient diagnostic radiology practice in New Port Richey, Florida, before joining the staff at Rose Radiology in July 2011. His goal is to provide the highest quality and superior Radiology interpretations and procedures for Rose Radiology in an outpatient setting. He strives for cost-efficient, timely, and personalized services and encourages communications with referring colleagues.
